Lights, Camera, Action!

Ten students will get the chance to visit Hollywood as part of their studies at the Bradford Whistling Woods International Film School which had opened in September.

‘Think Film, Think Bradford’ was the message when the creation of the school was announced in July and now 160 students have signed up to study all aspects of film work.

Now Trevor Griffiths, director of the film school, said that the body is going from strength to strength.

Students have already helped with filming in Centenary Square for the DCI Banks television series starring Stephen Tompkinson and now have had an offer from a Hollywood firm.

Mr Griffiths said :”The amazing opportunity in Hollywood with the company Entertainment Strategies, run by John J Lee Junior, to invite the students out there to introduce them to directors and show them how the system works. We are looking at how we can facilitate the Hollywood trip after Christmas. John J Lee wrote the Producer’s Business Handbook, which is one of the most respected books that comes out of Hollywood.”
