BIFF ON THE SIDE!

In conjunction with the Bradford International Film Festival 2014, Fuse art space are putting together a fringe of free events…

29/03/2014 – 8pm The first event at Fuse is an evening with  David Jenkins and Neil Young. David Jenkins is the editor of the starkly independent, unquestionably credible and uber-respected film magazine Little White Lies. By deftly sidestepping the “industry” bit of the movie industry and concentrating wholeheartedly on the “movie” bit, Little White Lies has earned a reputation as the home of intelligent film discussion, news and criticism.

David will be pitting his encyclopedic film knowledge against that of Bradford International Film Festival director Neil Young, as the two go head to head across six categories, presenting the case for the best examples of each one, accompanied by clips from the films selected.

04/04/2014 – 6.30pm The second of the events at Fuse is the Sydney underground shorts , they will be collecting all the short films that BIFF have been screening before each feature into a single showing.

Fuse Art Space is a gallery, art space, performance venue and shop in Bradford city centre. We host exhibitions, artist talks, film screenings, workshops and performances, and we stock a wide range of art books, magazines (fancy ones, glossy ones, DIY ones, photocopied ones), prints, cassettes, vinyl, CD’s and other objects of artistic merit. In the shop, we keep the quality high and the prices low; mainly to make sure people have reasonable access to great stuff. As far as our exhibitions go, they’re always free.
