Bradford Cathedral, doors open at 6:30pm

 Artspace is an exciting programme at Bradford Cathedral to bring a feast of dramatic performance, exhibitions, music and literary events into this wonderful building to please the eye and inspire the imagination.

Supported by Bradford UNESCO city of film and Cine Yorkshire, Bradford cathedral is holding a series of film screenings called Film Friday. 

Calendar girls, 7pm,  6th September 2013

Based on a true story about a group of women from Rylestone WI who decide to raise money for their local hospital by posing nude for a calendar. The film won the Best Comedy Film that year and, to date, has raised over £3m for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.

In conversation with … follows the evening’s performance with Miss October …Tricia Stewart whose idea it was for the calendar.

Hunchback of Notre Dame, 7pm, 11th October 2013    ( In partnership with the Cathedral Organ Appeal)

Another opportunity to see a silent movie classic with organ improvisation by
Jonathan Eyre, Assistant Director of Music … and featuring the Cathedral bells.
Lon Chaney stars as Quasimodo with Patsy Ruth Miller as Esmeralda.

The Railway Children, 7pm,  15th November 2013

The British classic, based on the novel by E Nesbit, directed by Lionel Jeffries and featuring Dinah Sheridan, Jenny Agutter, Sally Thomsett, and Bernard Cribbins.

In conversation with … follows the evening’s performance with the President of the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway Preservation Society, film extra, and ex MP for Keighley … Ann Cryer.

Tickets are only £5 from the Cathedral office, except for Hunchback of Notre Dame which is £8.
