A terrifying horror double bill at Bradford Playhouse

Friday the 13th is Fright Night!

Bradford Playhouse, 4-12 Chapel Street,
Bradford BD1 5DL.
Friday 13th August, 8pm.

It's Friday the 13th, are you ready to be scared? The Bradford Playhouse's atmospheric, beautifully creaky 1920s auditorium is a fitting home for a double-bill of horror movies in the City of Film. Come, come, and enjoy the adrenaline rush...

Friday the 13th (2009): A group of young adults set up tent near the abandoned summer camp where a series of gruesome murders are said to have taken place back in 1980. The perpetrator was a grieving mother, driven insane by the drowning of her child, Jason, whom she believed was neglected by the camp counselors. As legend has it, the last survivor of the attacks beheaded the woman. But then Jason came back, and now he is a vengeful and inexorable killer!

30 Days of Night: This is the story of an isolated Alaskan town that is plunged into darkness for a month each year when the sun sinks below the horizon. As the last rays of light fade, the town is attacked by a bloodthirsty gang of vampires bent on an uninterrupted orgy of destruction. Only the small town's husband-and-wife Sheriff team stand between the survivors and certain destruction.

The Playhouse is very grateful to sponsors CabTure (www.cabture.co.uk) for supporting Fright Night. Hopefully the double- bill in August will be the first of many that will help us to bring our auditorium back to its former glory and build on it's place in Bradford, the world's first City of Film.
