The Festival – run by Bradford UNESCO City of Film with partners from across the district – offers free and subsidized screenings, workshops and events in and around Bradford throughout the month of August.

BollywoodThe full programme is announced today and in the mix is everything from family  blockbusters including Big Hero 6, Paddington, Rio  and Cars to Disney classics like Alice in Wonderland, as well as Bollywood’s longest running romance  Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge.  Venues include City Park, Bradford Museums and Galleries, Bradford Playhouse and the Eccleshill Mechanics Institute, ensuring plenty of difference places for families to visit where there will be additional workshops, activities and exhibitions.

Our priority has been to create a festival of film that the whole family can enjoy and share in together.  I’m delighted to be working with so many partners to deliver a programme of films and activities that encourage young people to engage in other art forms and film genres. I’m very pleased to be bringing a Bollywood classic to City Park and I would really recommend everyone old and young come down and enjoy Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge  as it has universal appeal.

BFFF LOGO RED“I would like to thank all the partners involved as together we’ve been able to provide free and subsidised films and workshops running throughout August that really  will entertain the whole family. This festival has grown out of the success of our previous years Film Fun Wednesdays. People have really enjoyed the range of films and activities that accompany them to make it a full day out in the City. This year we have extended the programme to include more venues across the Bradford district and we are also delighted to bring some classic Bollywood to the Bradford Big Screen in partnership with Asian Sunday and Yash Raj Films.

The festival concludes with a free double bill of  blockbuster fun and excitement with  The Minions and Big Hero 6 In City Park on Wednesday 31 August.  For full details of the Bradford Family Film Festival http://www.bradford-city-of-film.com/big-screen/family/
